My son is in a stage where he'll only eat a few foods. Among those are:

Scrambled eggs
Strawberries
Bananas
Peanut butter sandwiches (I'm not sure if that's two-year-old food...but he had a bite of mine once and has loved them ever since)
Juice of just about any kind
Milk
Yogurt

At least most of that stuff is healthy...but I can't get him to eat much else.

I think at the age of two, anything you can get in him is considered 2yr old food! And from what he's eating, it looks pretty well rounded. If you can get him to take vitamins then that might help with his dietary needs.

I try to keep it pretty rounded, so I'm glad he's eating what he's eating. It's important, because I don't keep meat in the house (I'm a vegetarian). His pediatrician said that's fine, but I definitely need to make sure he's getting the vitamins and protein that he needs, so I'm glad he loves eggs and peanut butter, haha.

protein is going to be the big one then. I don't think adult vegetarians know how to get enough of it. I'm a vegetarian too and I have to remind myself to eat more protein.

Yeah...I'm not to good at that myself, haha.

Ah, sounds not too bad.
Apart from the peanut butter sandwiches everything´s healthy.
Oh, wait, peanuts are also healthy. :-p
Ok, the sugar in the juices might get him very energetic... ;-)

No, seriously, just imagine he would only like candy and chips and stuff like that.

He´ll get into a age soon where he wants to taste nearly everything and will like much more then. :-)

Well that's a good thing. All of that stuff is healthy!!!

Haha, at least he isn't SODA SODA SODA! and CANDYCANDYCANDY!

When my brother was little he would turn into a demon-child if he didn't get a chocolate bunny. Well, he's older than me by 8 years but my mom insists. Hahaha.

Yeah, I'm glad all the stuff is healthy with the exception of peanut butter sandwiches, but those aren't too bad. He is limited to one a day though haha.

I forgot to add ice cream to that list. So there's another not so healthy one. Oh well, at least it has calcium I guess.

My little brother would only eat spaghetti with butter and cheese.
Me at two would eat shell fish.. raw oysters and shrimp and then pretty much any vegetable.

That kinda sounds like me.
I get in my stages where I will only eat one food for a long time (3-4 months is the usual).
I've gone through a spinach dip phase lately...
Other phases have included: french toast, ramen noodles, oatmeal, quesadillas (sp?), tuna, egg rolls, eggs with tomatoes and garlic in them, vegetable soup, chicken pizza, salads, blended lettuce that I would make into a drink, cheese enchiladas, hot sauce and chips..

those have been the ones that have latest the longest...

not healthy but it makes grocery shopping very easy!

Blended lettuce as a drink? I'm sorry, but that sounds gross haha.

yeah... it was quicker than eating a salad... it was right after my salad phase- and it was easy- tasted like shit but you got used to it- just drink it and be done. Completely not healthy either- I was way way way below weight when I was in that phase too!

Yeah, it doesn't sound healthy.

This is pretty much Jaiden's diet too (except add in EVERY kind of fruit and pasta)!!! How funny! Does your little guy like tofu? Jaiden will eat it sometimes. But he goes in waves with foods. He'll eat one thing over and over for weeks, then he won't want it again for a while. I also give him a protein drink (15g of protein per serving) and avacados. He also likes spanish rice and bean burritos. Beans and rice are a good combo for all of the essential amino acids. Things with high protein/fat content are good as well (nuts, dairy and avacados). Sounds like he is doing fine!

I noticed that you mentioned you are vegetarian! So are we!! Awesome. I also read back and saw that you are taking Psychology in school. Double cool. I have a BA in Child Psychology. It's really cool finding more parents with things in common.

So where do you guys live? We are in Colorado.
