Playing COD =/= Babysitting?

Jenny's friend asked us if we could babysit her baby last minute. She had some type of work-related emergency meeting thing or something. I don't really know. Jenny explained it to me, but honestly, it went in one ear and out the other. I just knew I was on babysitting duty by myself for a couple hours since Jenny had a hair appointment. Luckily she's a really easy baby to take care of. She's about six months old, I think. Maybe five. Something like that. Jenny came home to find me playing COD MW3 (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3...I guess I could've just written it out the first time) with the baby in my lap. According to Jenny, that is not good babysitting lol. The baby had a little toy she was chewing on and was perfectly content. I thought it was fine. Jenny thought otherwise. Apparently we have different ideas of what makes a good babysitter hahaha. Ella was asleep the whole time, so that was nice, at least. But whatever, I played plenty of video games with Evan in my lap when he was a baby, and he turned out just fine. If Jenny thinks the same thing won't happen with Ella sometimes, she should think again.
That makes me sound bad haha. It's not like that's what I do all the time. But I don't see the harm in doing it occasionally when they're tiny. They'd just be sitting/lying there anyway, so I might as well get in a little video game time. It's not like I played games like COD and Grand Theft Auto around Evan when he got a little older, and I won't with Ella. But babies don't know or care. As long as I'm not blowing people up or killing hookers in front of them by the time they're one or so, they're fine.
If Jenny can put a baby in a little bouncy seat while she does her makeup, I can put a baby in my lap to play video games. Yeah, getting ready for the day is a little different, so I don't know if that's really a valid argument, but that's ok. It works for me.
It's not like Jenny got mad at me for it or anything. She kind of just rolled her eyes haha.
Pointless entry. I'm just writing this because I'm bored.
Oh, edited to add: It's not like I played it the whole time. It was about 30-45 minutes. I also fed her, played with her, and read to her, so it wasn't all video games. I'm not THAT bad of a babysitter haha.
And with Evan and Ella, I'm very engaged. When Evan was a baby I played with him and read to him all the time, and constantly gave him attention (and I still do). But there were plenty of times where I'd hold him in my lap and do the video game thing for short periods of time. I really am a good dad, I promise haha. But I think you guys know that.

I can sit on there for hours and hours too. Just not with a baby. A baby (one that's awake, anyway) won't let you sit there for hours and hours haha.
