Game Change

I just finished watching Game Change with Jenny a little while ago. Neither of us could sleep and we DVRed the movie, so we watched it. I really enjoyed it. I think it was well done. Julianne Moore did a good job portraying Sarah Palin. I still get a kick out of how clueless Palin is. If McCain had won in 2008, it would have been terrifying. It would have been scary for a number of reasons, but the thought of having Sarah Palin in the White House is just plain frightening. If McCain would have been elected and died in office, which easily could have happened given his age and the stress of the job, we would have had President Palin. The whole world would have been both laughing at us and terrified at the same time. Scary thought.

It was a good movie. HBO movies usually seem to be pretty good though. I'm sure HBO will be playing it like crazy, so if you're into politics at all and didn't watch it when it aired last night, I highly recommend watching it. Even if you're not into politics, it's worth watching. It was interesting and entertaining. If you don't have HBO, you can watch it (and every other HBO movie and series) at http://www.hbogo.com/.

That was two hours where I didn't think about my cravings or depression, at least! So that was nice.

5:30 in the morning. Damn. I really need to try to get some sleep.

I'll post something a bit happier. Evan made a card for me and gave it to me today. It was really sweet. He drew Mickey Mouse on the front (we're Disney dorks in my family) with "I <3 You" underneath. Only it was a real heart, not a sideways text heart, haha.

He wrote a really sweet message inside. I have it next to me, so I'll type it exactly how he wrote it...six-year-old spelling and all, haha. It's endearing.

It actually brought tears to my eyes, because I really needed that right now. It feels so good to be so loved.

Hey, he might have misspelled a few words, but at least he knows how to use punctuation, including apostrophes, and to capitalize proper nouns. Haha. I think the way little kids spell things is cute. He's a pretty good speller for his age, though.

I love my little guy so much. He can brighten my mood like no one else can. I'm so lucky to have such a great kid. He makes me want to work harder on getting better.
