Mitt Romney is a fucking fool.

Mitt Romney is a fool. Way to start off a tour abroad by dissing the first place you visit...fucking moron. He went to London and said London isn't ready for the Olympics. Then he broke an unspoken but well-known rule by announcing that he met with the U.K.'s Secret Intelligence Agency. Not only did he comment on the meeting, but he said he doesn't think their security is up to par. U.S. politicians aren't supposed to criticize the president overseas...it has been that way forever, and everyone knows it. But one of Mitt Romney's main political tactics is to make personal attacks and criticize President Obama, so of course he did so, despite the longtime understanding that that's a big no-no. "And one of his big arguments is that Obama is too worried about offending foreigners. He's certainly demonstrated that he doesn't care about that.
This basically sums up his London Olympics comments - from www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-19015278:
"And one of his big arguments is that Obama is too worried about offending foreigners. He's certainly demonstrated that he doesn't care about that.
...Mr. Romney's message for viewers back home - that he connects with the leaders of America's allies and can be trusted with its interests abroad - lies in tatters.
He's offended the British government. The British press have decided he is a knave and a fool."
Yeah, Obama is "too worried" about diplomacy, apparently. Not that getting along with the rest of the world matters or anything. Romney talks out of his ass. The fact is, Obama has a great foreign policy record...and at least he had a little foreign policy experience going into it. Mitt Romney has none. Not only that, but his guys royally fucked shit up as far as foreign policy goes. You know, the whole Iraq thing. Bush invading a country and starting a war under false pretenses, while basically dismissing the real enemy - bin Laden. After 9/11, Bush promised to find him "dead or alive" but abandoned that mission entirely. Bush and his team sat on their asses doing nothing as far as that went. What did Obama do? Authorized a stealth mission that succeeded in killing Osama bin Laden. But according to Romney, Obama has "betrayed the country's interests." (More on the foreign policy stuff: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mitchell-bard/romneys-foreign-policy-at_b_1707767.html) Way to go, Mitt. Great start. But thank you for making yourself look like even more of an ass. If he keeps it up, he might as well throw his campaign out the window and just hand the election over to Obama. God help us if Mitt Romney ends up as President. Seriously. I'll move to Canada. Not really, but I'd probably want to. I said the same thing about the last election...that I'd move to Canada if McCain won haha. McCain and Palin? Are you fucking kidding me? John McCain would have been the oldest president ever elected. The stress of the job makes presidents' hair go grey really quickly, so it easily could have killed an old guy like McCain. Especially since McCain has heart problems. Then Sarah Palin would have been president. How scary is that? President-fucking-Palin. The whole world wolld have been laughing at us and terrified at the same time. The fact that she was a vice presidential candidate is insane. Completely insane. American politics is going to hell in a hand basket.
Sorry, I got sidetracked. Back to Romney's first day foreign fuck up. Pissing off the Prime Minister and the mayor of London and making them think that he's a fool (or rather, letting them see that he's a fool) was about as bad of a start as he could get. I look forward to seeing how he fucks up in other countries on his foreign tour. (More about his comments in London today about the Olympics: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/26/mitt-romney-olympics-london_n_1705657.html)
Another idiotic thing: "We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and [Romney] feels that the special relationship is special," a Romney adviser told The Telegraph. "The White House didn't fully appreciate the shared history we have." Sure, we're part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, but we're a part of much more than that. The United States is one of the most diverse countries in the world, as far as different heritages go, if not the most diverse. Apparently the fact that Obama is half African American is only acknowledged when it's convenient and perceived as relevant for Republicans. I suppose he didn't necessarily mean that we're entirely an Anglo-Saxon heritage, but in that quote he included Great Britain in the "we," and they are pretty much all Anglo-Saxon there. Not entirely, but pretty much. So that comment implies that we are a "white nation" and is racially insensitive, whether that implication was intentional or not. And lol @ "Romney feels that the special relationship is special." If it's a special relationship, isn't calling it special again redundant? Direct quote from the video" "A Romney advisor told the Daily Telegraph that Romney will strengthen the special relationship between the U.S. and Britain because of a shared Anglo-Saxon heritage that President Obama does not understand." Romney himself made no comment, but struggled to come up with a response saying otherwise when confronted about it, and failed to effectively and undoubtedly refute the claim that "The White House didn't fully appreciate the shared history we have." Something tells me that Obama as well as everyone who ifor him is fully aware of the shared history between England and the U.S.. Not like you learn that in first grade or anything. It's both ridiculous and insulting for them to even imply that the White House doesn't appreciate the shared history of Great Britain and the United States. Saying that we share a history is one thing; specifically saying that we share an Anglo-Saxon heritage is another. I got sidetracked again. The main point of this entry was to is say that Mitt Romney is a fool for fucking up his foreign tour from the very beginning. He's just proving to other countries and to us that he sucks with foreign policy.
Man, I could write about this much better and way more effectively if I wasn't running on two hours of sleep and painkillers haha. I went back down to the lower dose though...fuck those other ones. At least now I'm capable of having coherent (or at least semi-clear) thoughts, even if I can't articulate them very well. I realize that this is all over the place, and that some of my thoughts aren't complete or well-argued. Believe me, I know haha. But it's the best I can do at the moment.
I suggest you guys read up on it, because the articles in the links I posted talk about this stuff a hell of a lot better than I did lol.
