She keeps texting me and begging me to not make her go.

That on top of her continuously telling me that she wants to be with me? I can't take this shit.

I'm doing ok, thanks. I just want this shit to end, and for Jenny to get her life back together.

Whoa.. this sounds like this all is getting bigger than the both of you. I hope this isn't going to burn, but I wonder if the whole thing about wanting to be with you is just a tactic to try and get the attention off of her addiction? I think she wants you to take the bait just so you will focus on that and not her going to rehab.

Do you keep texting her back? What are you saying to her at this point?

Oh no, I agree. She can be very manipulative. I don't know if she's trying to manipulate me right now, or if the whole coming onto me thing is just another sign that she needs help. Probably a combination of both.

I do keep texting her back, yes. Most of it is just small talk, but she knows I'm not going to give in and "save her" from having to go to rehab. I don't think she understands that we're trying to save her by sending her there. She still honestly does not believe that she needs rehab. That's something I'm worried about...because if she goes in there with that attitude, it's less likely to work.

I think you're right, its probably a combination of the two...

And that attitude is a recipe for disaster... she won't fully get the help she needs until she hits rock bottom and really wants to get sober.

I'm guessing the prospect of being clean for your son isn't at all appealing?

It doesn't seem to be enough for her. She has a daughter with Justin, too. You'd think her kids would kind of wake her up and snap her out of it. But then again, I slipped up and used for a few months after Evan was born too. But I realized what I was doing and cleaned up my act.
